PRESS RELEASE

On January 31, 2008 Cooperation Agreement between Open JSC ZARUBEZHENERGOPROEKT and Ivanovo State Power University named for V. Lenin was signed as previously agreed.

Up to date Ivanovo State Power University (ISPU) is the largest Institution of Higher Technical Education of Ivanovo region, joint training-science-and-production complex with developed network of scientific centers and one of three largest Institutions of Higher Education in the Russian Federation training specialists in power engineering field.

Main directions of joint activities of Parties to Agreement are the following: quality improvement of specialist training for work in designing field, improvement of engineering and consulting services in power engineering field, advanced training of science-and-educational and engineering-and-technical staff on the basis of Ivanovo State Power University and Open JSC ZARUBEZHENERGOPROEKT joint scientific-and-technical research, theoretical development works, which determine domestic power engineering level.

To fulfill the targets set by the Agreement, the Parties plan is the following: implementation of research and development works in main directions of the joint activity, establishing of coordinating scientific and technical Council to discuss the main directions and problems, provision for different ways of power engineering staff advanced training, arrangement of joint publications and public statements of Agreement Parties at different conferences, target training of students for Open JSC ZARUBEZHENERGOPROEKT on a contract basis etc.

Under this Agreement, Open JSC ZARUBEZHENERGOPROEKT for its part has enabled Ivanovo State Power University students to have an externship on Zarubezhenergoproekt basis; some of the students after graduation from ISPU were employed by ZARUBEZHENERGOPROEKT Open JSC.

Generally, it is anticipated that cooperation between Ivanovo State Power University and Open JSC ZARUBEZHENERGOPROEKT will be long-term and efficient and it will contribute to further progress of power engineering based on the latest advances of fundamental science and production.
